BJP MP Anurag Thakur today alleged that the Congress was misleading and misguiding the people of Himachal Pradesh by making false claims and promises.

The Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh, always accuses the prime minister and BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal of targeting him, but the probe into his corruption cases were initiated in 2012 when the UPA was in power, he claimed at an election rally in Hamirpur.

Not even once has he ever replied to the allegations against him based on merit, the MP said.
The chief minister has been often been heard stating that it is only the Congress has successfully worked towards development. The truth is they have worked not for the state, but for their personal development, he alleged.
"The false claims made by the Congress reached its peak, when unemployment allowance was paid only to 16,149 youths, which is only 1.79 per cent of the total nine lakh unemployed youths in the state," Thakur said.
