Kuljit Singh Nagra, a MLA from Fatehgarh Sahib, staged a demonstration outside the residence of Badal where an important meeting regarding the Rajpura Thermal Plant acquisition was summoned by him.
Nagra alleged that instead of involving him and the local elected representatives to discuss the issue, Badal "illegitimately" invited SAD leader Prem Singh Chandumajra to participate in the meeting attended by farmers, senior officials and representatives of L&T company.
Meanwhile, the state unit of Congress condemned the incident, saying," the entire episode is nothing but the murder of democracy and breakdown of the constitution".
