Cong MLA seriously injured, driver killed in road mishap

The mishap took place when the jeep carrying the legislators and others fell into a pit at Tapti Ghat, police said, adding they were returning from a marriage function.

The MLA, who represents Bhainsdehi Assembly seat, was admitted in the district hospital, police said.

The deceased driver was identified as Dhanraj, they said, adding a woman is among the four injured.
