The Telangana High Court on

Wednesday granted bail to Congress MP A Revanth Reddy, who has been arrested in a case of alleged illegal use of drone to take pictures of a building here.

While granting the bail, the court directed that he should not interfere with the investigation and furnish two sureties of Rs 10,000 each.

Revanth Reddy, a Lok Sabha member from Malkajgiri here, was arrested on March 5 in connection with the alleged illegal use of a drone to take pictures of a building here, which he had alleged belonged to a state minister and was built in violation of rules.

The TRS had dimissed the allegations.

Police had said Revanth Reddy was arrested in connection with a case registered for various offences under the Indian Penal Code including disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant and under the Aircraft Act.

A press release from the police had, on March 5, alleged the MP refused to cooperate despite being confronted with "evidence" of his involvement in the offence.

He was produced before a court and remanded to 14 days judicial custody and lodged in a city prison.

A local court had earlier dismissed his bail plea.

Congress leaders had condemned Revanth Reddy's arrest, claiming the action had been taken for questioning ruling TRS leaders.
