Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Eknath Khadse today said the Congress-NCP government has left the state in such a financial crisis that the next government will not be able to present its budget.
Speaking in the Lower House on the debate on supplementary demands worth Rs 20,000 crore, Khadse said the state was on the verge of bankruptcy and the total debt has crossed more than Rs 3 lakh crore.
"Next budget will be a plan holiday. The new government will not be able to present its budget," he said.

Criticising the supplementary demands, Khadse sought to know why there was a delay in the construction of the high mount guest house, Marathi poet V V Shirwadkar's memorial in Nashik and renovation of Taraporewala acquarium.
Similarly, there is no provision for the Sinhastha Kumbh Mela in Nashik to be held later this year, he said.
Khadse also referred to the delay in Mantralaya renovation, the state government headquarters which was damaged
in the fire two years ago.
"Administrative set-up is in a mess," he alleged.
