BJP today accused Congress of making false allegations in Vyapam MBBS recruitment case against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, saying Congress leaders seem to be questioning arrangement made by High Court, which is monitoring the case.

"The allegation made by Congress are a part of the series of such false allegations which they have been making over the last two years.

"The frustration of Congress is understandable in view of their defeats in December, 2013 assembly elections and May, 2014 Lok Sabha polls and recently in election of local bodies in the state. They continue to misinform and mislead the people of the state by trying to sensationalise their baseless allegations," a BJP statement said.

Responding to the allegations levelled by Congress leaders Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia about the Vyapam scam, the BJP said the High Court has made special arrangements to ensure that investigation is fair and independent as it is monitoring the same.

"We have full faith in arrangement made by High Court while Congress leaders seem to have questioned it," the statement said.

It further said that the Congress leaders in their press conference presented their complaint in such a manner that it appeared as if an independent investigation agency has already proven that hard disk seized was tampered with.

"The Congress leaders have been continuously making false allegations in cases related to recruitment by Professional Examination Board (Vyapam) both against the Chief Minister and the state government," it added.

BJP said it clearly proves that right from the beginning independent and fair investigation have been done in all these cases and that state government has no role to play.

"The state government in fact has no administrative authority to influence the enquiry in any manner," it said.

It further alleged that an alliance of a political party and advocates have joined hands to save the accused and unless Digvijay Singh reveals the source of his allegedly original excel sheet and if such source is not legally authorised source, no action on his complaint should be taken by SIT.
