Consul General of India in Houston Harish Parvathaneni met US Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Ed Royce and Texas Congressman Pete Olson and discussed prospects of cooperation in the energy sector, bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.
The dignitaries expressed appreciation for the contributions of the Indian-American community in promoting Indo-US relationship during their meeting last week.
Consul General had earlier met Congressman Ted Poe at the Consulate on Monday.
They exchanged views on the latest developments in Indo-US relationship, bilateral trade and investment, and prospects of cooperation in the energy sector, especially exploration of liquefied natural gas (LNG), a Consulate statement said.
Consul General thanked Royce, Olson and Poe for their support for stronger bilateral economic engagement.
