Convict serving life-term dies of stroke in Pb jail

A convict, serving life imprisonment, lodged at Sub-Jail in Pathankot district today died following a heart stroke, police said.

Ranjit Singh, who was recently awarded the life term in a murder case, suffered a stroke today following which he was shifted to local civil hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, police said.

The body will be sent for postmortem and investigation is underway, they said.
