Cop booked for possessing banned drugs

A police constable has been booked after some banned drugs were seized from his room in Central Jail here, poliec said today.

Acting on a tip-off, the contraband was recovered from the room of Radheyshyam Meena, who, however, managed to escape before the raid was conducted last night, they said.

The accused has been booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Further probes into the case are on, police added.
