Cop killed, another injured in road accident in UP

A police constable was

killed and another policeman was seriously injured when a car hit them near Lachanpur village, police said Friday.

The policemen were getting a tree removed which had fallen on the road when a speeding DCM Matador hit them Thursday night, they said.

While Constable Nagendra Yadav was killed on the spot, Sub Inspector Shiv Mangal Yadav suffered injuries and was admitted to a hospital, the police said.

They were posted in Uska Police Station.
