A suspended police inspector, who was wanted in a 14-year-old boy murder case, today surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate here, police said.
Sanjay Rai, who was accused of conspiring to kill class eight student Maaz, surrendered before CJM Pramod Kumar Tyagi, who sent him to judicial custody till July 27, they said.
On May 29, some people shot dead Maaz at his house in Indiranagar colony.

Two contract killers - Ajit Rai and Rahul Rai - who were arrested in connection with the case, during interrogation told police that Sanjay had given them the contract to kill the boy, police said.
After surrendering, Rai moved a bail application. However, it was rejected by the court.
