Prices of copper and nickel shed Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today largely on muted demand from consuming industries amid a weak global cues.
Traders said tepid demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market and a weak trend overseas on firm dollar amid concerns that tensions between the world's top two economies could dent metals demand, mainly led to decline in copper and nickel prices.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three-month fell 0.8 per cent to USD 6,830 per metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) eased by Rs 2 each to Rs 403 and Rs 788-793 per kg, respectively.

Zinc ingot Rs 124-130, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 788-793, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 403, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 121, lead imported Rs 128, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148.
