A police station in-charge and two constables were suspended here today after an accused manage give them a slip from the Bagchiid police station recently, a senior official said.
Ramraj Singh Sikarwar, an accused who was allegedly engaged in illegal sand mining was caught yesterday by the police along with a tractor-trolley at Nandpura village, but he managed to escape late in the night from the police lock-up," said Irshad Wali, Superintendent of Police (SP).
Taking the matter seriously, the SP suspended police station in-charge Rakesh Gupta, besides constables Sanjeev and Sonu Rajaz with immediate effect, as well as ordered a probe into the matter.
