Cottonseed oilcake prices edged higher by Rs 24 to Rs 2,231 per quintal in futures trade today as participants raised their bets amid a firm trend at the spot markets.
Besides, fall in arrivals to influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in May moth contracts improved by Rs 24, or 1.09 per cent to Rs 2,231 per quintal, with an open interest of 760 lots.
In a similar manner, cottonseed for delivery in June month contracts moved up by Rs 16, or 0.71 per cent to Rs 2,281 per quintal, having an open interest of 62,470 lots.
Marketmen attributed rise in cottonseed oilcake prices to a better trend at the domestic spot markets.
