Couple looted at gunpoint

Unidentified bike-borne men allegedly robbed a couple of cash and jewellery at gunpoint in Chandawali village of the district, police said today.

The couple was returning from a temple yesterday when they were intercepted by the bikers who were following them, police said.

The bikers fled with Rs 4.25 lakh cash and woman's gold jewelleries, they said.

A case into the matter has been registered and efforts are on to nab the accused, police said.
