Former Shiv Sena leader in the Thane district Dr Vijay Dhavale here launched a training programme on 'Naturopathy' for the youths of Konkan region.
The programme inaugurated yesterday aimed at imparting training youths who could not continue education for various reasons.
The one-year diploma course programme will offer training in naturopathic medicine through which youths can secure jobs in nature-cure health care sector like at health clubs, beauty salons, magnetic therapy centres etc, said Dhavale.
The training will be given in Marathi, English and Konkani languages.
Speaking at the programme Dhavale, who has shifted to Canada, said the programme aims at promoting Naturopathy among locals of the Konkan region and generate employment.
The course will be conducted by Mumbai-based Maharaj Group of Companies.
