Court official, wife die in road mishap

An officer of Bhawanipatna district court and his wife died when an unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle in which they were travelling near Biju Patnaik Park in Abhinav Bidanasi here, police said today.

Police said the profusely bleeding judicial officer Krushna Chandra Behera and his wife Nirupama were rushed to the hospital after the accident late last night and doctors declared them dead.

The couple in their late 40's are survived by two minor children.

A native of nearby Athgarh area, Behera with family had come to the city during winter vacation.
