Indian Oil Group company Chennai Petroleum Corporation has resumed operations at its two Tamil Nadu refineries which were suspended following torrential rains and floods earlier this month.
"The operations at the Manali Refinery resumed on December 16 (except at the fluidised catalytic cracking unit and crude distillation unit-II) and at the Cauvery Basin Refinery at Nagapattinam from December 14", the Chennai-based company said in a BSE filing.
The company had suspended production at the facilities as a "precautionary safety measure" following heavy rainfall and waterlogging on December 2 at Manali near here, and on December 6 in Nagapattinam.
