Craftsman murdered in Anantnag

A 58-year-old crafsman was allegedly killed by slitting his throat in Anantnag district of South Kashmir, police said today.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Saleem Beigh and his throat-slit body was recovered today from a road side in Rohu village.

The body was handed over to his kin after the post mortem, police said adding, further investigations were on in the case.

In another incident, a body was fished out from river Jehlum near Gantmulla in Sheeri area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

The body is lying in district hospital Baramulla for identification, police said adding inquest proceedings have been started to ascertain the cause of his death.
