Credit goes to skipper Gambhir, says Akram

Kolkata Knight Riders bowling coach Wasim Akram today praised skipper Gautam Gambhir for instilling confidence among the players, as the side marched into the final of seventh Indian Premier League here.

KKR recorded a convincing 28-run win over Kings XI Punjab in the Qualifier 1 to enter the final.

"Credit goes to captain, the way he is giving them confidence. Things are going well. The bowlers are doing well. I am here to talk to them mentally, and team is responding well. They are a very talented bunch," Akram told IPL's official broadcaster Sony 6 on the sidelines of the match.
 

Asked about Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan's stellar performance, the Pakistani bowling legend said the players are playing their best games of the tournament.
