CSE index gains 7 points

The benchmark index CSE-40 gained 187.26 points during the session. The index opened at 6550.44 and during the day it scaled higher to close at 6557.56.

Total turnover was Rs 19.12 crore from trading of 15 scrips.

Blueprint Securities was at Rs 308.30 at close. Infosys Technologies was at Rs 2596 at the end of the session.

Reliance Industries was at Rs 844 a share, while State Bank of India ended higher at Rs 2211.20.

Tata Steel was at Rs 407 at close and Twenty First Century was at Rs 326.30 at close.
