CWC gives inter-state nod to Kaleshwaram irrigation project

The Central Water Commission (CWC) accorded inter-state clearance to the Kaleshwaram irrigation project in Telangana, the state government said here today.

The inter-state clearance is an important development in the construction of the Kaleshwaram project, a state government release said.

Irrigation minister T Harish Rao hailed the CWC giving inter-state clearance to the project, it said.

The project, aimed to irrigate lakhs of acres in the state, has got hydrology clearance a few days ago.
