Noted Konkani writer J F D'Souza has been chosen for this year's Victor Rodrigues memorial Konkani literary award.
The award, named after prominent Konkani novelist Victor Rodrigues, carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000, citation and memento.
D'Souza, a popular writer of children's books in Konkani, has also written several stories, poems and articles in Kannada, Tulu and English. His stories for children have been compiled and published in nine volumes in Konkani.
He had won the Konkani Sahiyta Academy award in 2004 for his work 'Bhangarachi Masli' (Golden Fish), a release here said.
The award will be presented at a function to be held here on July 19, a release here said.
