Dacoits murder businessman in Malda

A gang of dacoits killed a local businessman and decamped with gold ornaments from his house at Chancal in West Bengal's Malda district.

Police said the gang entered the house of Gopal Roy, overpowered him and his wife and looted gold ornaments last night, police said.

Before escaping, they slit the throat of Roy who died on the spot.

A search has been launched to nab the culprits.
