Daniel Radcliffe to star in supernatural thriller 'Horns'

Based on the novel by Joe Hill, "Horns" is the story of Ig Perrish. Ig, in the aftermath of his girlfriend Merrin Williams' mysterious rape and murde, awakes one morning to find horns growing from his head and diabolical powers at his command.

'Piranha 3D' director Alexandre Aja is helming the project which is being financed by Red Granite Pictures. 'Horns has been adapted by Keith Bunin of 'In Treatment' fame.

"After reading Joe Hill's cult book, I couldn't resist temptation to dive into the devilish underworld and reinvent a universal myth," Aja said.

Radcliffe will portray the character of Ig, who is suspected of the rape and murder of his girlfriend.

 

Shooting is slated to begin later this year.
