The hill town of Darjeeling in the north and the coastal resort town of Digha in West Bengal recorded moderate rains, while the rest of the state received little or no rainfall.
Darjeeling received 35.3 mm rainfall since yesterday, while Digha was lashed by 38.6 mm rains during the same period, the MeT department said.
The weatherman has forecast heavy rains in Digha tomorrow, while the rest of gangetic West Bengal is likely to witness overcast conditions with one or two spells of rain.
For the sub-Himalayan districts, the MeT department has predicted generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
