David D'Souza to represent Puravankara Bangalore team

David D'Souza played two-under for a net score of 42 stableford points, to win the KGA club qualifier and earn a chance to play alongside Anirban Lahiri for Puravankara Bangalore team at Louis Philippe Cup 2014.

Anisha Padukone, daughter of legendary shuttler Prakash Padukone and Syed Saqib Ahmed, No. 4 on the IGU Order of Merit list, could not live up to expectations, as they both returned with 37 stableford points to take 9th and 10th spot respectively.

The tournament was played in the stableford format where KGA hosted the second club qualifier for the third edition of the Louis Philippe Cup, India's official pro golf league.
 

D'Souza, said, "I started the round with a birdie on 1st and from there I told myself that I have to keep the momentum high throughout the day. I knew there was a strong field looking to make a mark at KGA but my mental fitness and experience of playing at KGA helped me a lot to win the tough qualifier which was held over two days.
