DAVP spends over Rs 990 cr on publicity this fiscal: Govt

The Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) under the Information and Broadcasting Ministry has spent over Rs 992.46 crore on publicity in the current financial year, the government said today.
This information was provided to the Rajya Sabha by Minister of State for I&B Rajyavardhan Rathore in a written reply to a member's question.
According to the details provided, of over Rs 992.46 crore, over Rs 545 crore were spent on print media while Rs 340 crore were spent on electronic media.
The rest of the amount was spent on outdoor publicity, printed publicity and holding exhibitions, the minister's reply said.
