DDA holds draw for waitlisted registrants of Rohini scheme

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) today held a draw for the allotment of plots to remainder of the registrants for its Rohini Residential Scheme.

DDA held the draw for 750 such applicants under the scheme, the urban body said.

As per eligibility 639 LIG plots (32 sqm) and 111 Janta plots (26 sqm) have been allotted in the draw held at DDA's headquarters at Vikas Sadan, it said in a statement.

The computerised draw was held in the presence of independent judges including an expert on information technology. The result of the draw has been uploaded on its official website--www.Dda.Org.In.

The housing authority today also claimed that with this draw, all the applicants of Rohini Residential Scheme, 1981 have been allotted plots and the scheme now stands closed.
 

According to the DDA, 82,384 applicants had registered for the Rohini Residential Scheme launched in 1981 in Rohini zone of the urban body under various categories viz, MIG, LIG, EWS.

The first draw was held in 1982 itself and subsequently draws were continuously held from 1982 to 2007.

Up to 2007, 55,169 applicants had been allotted plots comprising MIG, LIG and Janta categories, it said.

Around 25,298 applicants of all categories were waitlisted.

Another mega draw was held in the year 2012 and out of 25,298 waitlisted registrants, 24,668 were allotted plots on June 12 the same year.

The DDA had earlier said that the number of waitlisted registrants was 744, but today it said, the list was revised later to 750.
