Two more persons succumbed to burn injuries at a hospital here today taking the death toll to five in a fire mishap at a temple in Tirupattur and three more continue to be critical.
Out of the thirty persons injured in the fire accident, 14 were admitted to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital (KMC) here.
While a 11-year old girl Silambarasi, Perumal (36), and Sivaaraman (60) died yesterday, Mari (40) and Kaliappan Lakshmanan (21) succumbed to injuries today.
"Five among the remaining nine have suffered over 50 per cent burns and four less than that," J Jagan Mohan, Head of Burns Ward and Plastic Surgery at KMC told PTI here.
