Deepamale Devi wins gold in 20km walk

Deepamale Devi of Karnataka won gold in the women's 20km walk in the first session on the second day of the 19th Federation Cup National Senior Athletics championship here today.

Deepamale registered a timing of 1:44:29.

Sandeep Kaur from Punjab and Priyanka from Uttar Pradesh claimed the second and third positions, respectively.

While Sandeep clocked 1:48:03, Priyanka finished with a timing of 1:52:27.

Other finals to be held in the evening session are Shotput (women/men), 400m Hurdles (women/men), Javelin Throw (men), Long Jump (men), 800m (men/women) and 100m (men/women).
