Delhi Police constable killed in accident

A Delhi Police constable was killed when the motorcycle he was riding was mowed down by a speeding car here late last night, police said.

The deceased, identified as Prahlad Sahay Meena (44) was hit by a Maruti Alto car from behind at around 1 AM on Tuesday near Nawada Chowk in West Delhi's Bindapur area.

"Soon after the incident, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead," said a police official.

Meena, posted at Mianwali police station in west Delhi, was on his way to his home at Dwarka Sector-16 in West Delhi on his motorcycle when the accident took place.
 

He was a resident of Rajasthan and was inducted in Delhi Police in 1990. He had been posted at Mianwali police station since the last two years.
