Delhi Police today felicitated 69 good Samaritans who had helped the police in some way or the other in preventing the crime in the Outer and North-West districts of Northern Range.
Police Commissioner B S Bassi felicitated the people hailing from different walks of life, according to police.
They had helped police in different ways like from nabbing criminals to saving lives as well as preventing heinous offences from being committed, it said.
Meanwhile, in order to cater to every day needs of police personnel and their families, Bassi today inaugurated a subsidiary Central Police Canteen in Outer Delhi's Pitampura locality.
It is expected that the canteen facility would benefit over 7,000 police personnel and their families, working or staying in North West, Outer and West District of Delhi Police, they said.
