Maulana Kalbe Jawad today accused Delhi Police of misleading the judiciary to extract orders so that they can prevent them from holding a protest at Karbala near Jor Bagh here on Monday.
Jawad, who is also the General Secretary of Majlis Ulema-e-Hind, a body of clerics from different parts of the country, also alleged Delhi Police had on March 10 stopped the devotees at UP border to choke the traffic creating hardship to the people and thin the support to the movement.
The Delhi High Court had yesterday barred the holding of a protest at Karbala near Jor Bagh here on Monday and said such demonstrations be held at designated places like Ramlila Maidan or Jantar Mantar after taking permission.

Justice Manmohan passed the order on a plea by a resident of the nearby B K Dutt Colony as well as Delhi police who had opposed the proposed demonstration saying it could pose a law and order problem.
The area had witnessed violent protests in the past over the issue of ownership of the Karbala land on which a nursery has been built.
Jawad said the office-bearers of Anjuman-e-Haideri had informed government agencies about their programme details. In fact, no protest demonstration is scheduled for Monday, instead there would a religious congregation at Karbala ground on that day.
He also condemned "the way the government has been delaying the implementation of the Delhi High court orders regarding Karbala Jor bagh and construction of boundary walls of Dargah Shahe Mardan".
