Dengue fever claims boy's life

A five-year-old boy

succumbed to dengue at Karaikudi in this district today, officials said.

This is the first dengue case reported in the district, they said.

The boy was admitted to a private hospital with dengue symptoms, they said, adding, he died early today.

Further investigation is on, hospital officials said.
