Dhaba owner shot dead, 2 injured in Shimla

A dhaba owner was shot dead and two others were injured when he and a group of tourists exchanged fire against each other at Sanwara in Solan district here today.

A group of 11 tourists, including women had food at Urban Dhaba and following a complaint about food, an altercation happened between them and the dhaba owner Paramjit. He got provoked and openedfire from his pistol injuring one person identified as Nikhil, DC , Solan, Rakesh Kaanwar said, adding someone from the group returned firing and a bullet hit Paramjit and he died on the spot.

His waiter also suffered bullet injuries, he said.
 

Police have detained the entire group and investigations are on, he added.
