India captain M S Dhoni, who gave Jharkhand police tense moments for a couple of days riding bike without security, today said he did not want to disturb the policemen so early in the morning when the roads are empty.
"Security was not necessary as the roads were empty," Dhoni said while adding he did not want to bother the security personnel early in the morning.
Replying to a query on the security issue during a pre-CLT20 tournament media conference here, Dhoni, however, clarified that he took security whenever he visited public places.
Dhoni's reaction was sought in the wake of the police requesting Dhoni's family to inform them whenever he ventured out, purely on security grounds.
