Former Himachal Chief minister and BJP leader P K Dhumal today accused Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh of misleading people on Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association issue and said he was never HPCA Patron-in-Chief.

"I never attended any meeting of HPCA nor gave any undue benefit to the HPCA and the oft repeated charges of Virbhadra Singh in this regard are incorrect," he said in a statement.

He said the vigilance and anti-corruption Bureau which has registered a case against HPCA had also sought clarification on this issue in the six-point questionnaire sent to him and he had strongly denied that he was HPCA Patron-in-Chief.

Accusing the chief minister was misleading people by twisting facts, he said Singh's charge that property worth Rs 250 crore was given on lease at Re 1 was not based on facts and the property belonged to HPCA and not to any individual or family.
