Diane Kruger signs two indie films

Actress Diane Kruger has signed on for two independent films.

Kruger, 38, will star in Alice Winocour's 'Maryland' and Fabienne Berthaud's 'Sky', reported Deadline.

'Maryland' follows a former soldier suffering from PTSD who is hired to protect the wife and child of a wealthy businessman while he is away.

In 'Sky', a woman will find herself spiritually re-awakened while travelling solo.

Kruger is best known for her role as Sonya Cross in FX's 'The Bridge'.

The series just ended its second season on the network.
