Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam led by actor-politician Vijaykant has announced party candidates for polls to Thanjavur, Aravakurichi and Thirupparankundram Assembly constituencies.
The polls to Thanjavur and Aravakurichi and bypoll to Thirupparankumdram will all be held on November 19.
'Aravai' M Muthu has been announced as candidate for Aravakurichi, V Abdullah Sait for Thanjavur and T Thanapandian for Tirupparankundram constituencies respectively, Vijaykant said in a statement here.
Polling in Aravakkurichi and Thiruparankundram constituencies were cancelled by the Election Commission following seizure of huge sums of money, irregularities and allegations of bribing voters and distribution of gifts by parties and candidates.
By-poll in Thirupparankundram was necessitated following the death of AIADMK's Seenivel who passed away after winning the seat in the May 16 poll.
Leading parties including ruling AIADMK and main opposition DMK have already announced the names of their candidtes for the polls.
PMK and BJP have also announced their candidates.
DMDK is a constituent of the People Welfare Front comprising Vaiko led-MDMK, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and the Left parties.
DMDK drew a blank in the May 16 Assembly polls.
