Days after DMK chief Karunanidhi's appeal seeking fund from cadres to fight the assembly elections due next year, the party has so far received Rs 37.05 lakh.
Contributions, ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 50,000 was given to Karunanidhi and treasurer Stalin by party functionaries.
So far, DMK has received Rs 37,05,724, party mouthpiece "Murasoli" said today.

On March 11, Karunanidhi said "party men should pitch in with hundred or two hundred rupees rather than presenting a garland or shawl."
He had also directed that poll funding should be given in party programmes attended by him, General Secretary K Anbazhagan and Treasurer M K Stalin.
Functionaries at the district level had remitted contributions ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 and others starting from Rs 100 to several thousands.
