Doctor booked for selling abortion pills illegally

A woman doctor was booked on charges of illegally selling abortion pills to patients.

Dr Vina Vashishtha, resident of Sector-19 here, was booked by police yesterday for selling abortion pills using fake certificates and without license, police said.

She has been booked on the basis of a complaint filed by Chief Medical Officer Shashi Gandhi, they said, adding, the matter is being investigated.
