Doctor killed in road mishap

A government doctor was killed after his car rammed into a stationary truck on Sitapur road in Itauja area here, police said.

Swadesh Gautam (32) was coming to Lucknow from Sitapur yesterday when his car rammed in to the truck killing him on the spot, they said.

Gautam is survived by his wife and two young children and was recently transferred to Sitapur Chief Medical Officer's (CMO) office from Pisawan community health centre.
