Doctor tests positive of Swine flu

A senior doctor here has been tested positive of H1N1 virus taking the total swine flu cases in Odisha to five.

The swab test of the doctor, who works at the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Dumduma came out positive of H1N1 virus, a health department official said.

The official said the doctor had visited Mumbai six days back before being hit by the virus.

"The patient is in a stable condition and at home under medical supervision," said director, public health, Kailash Das.

A 42-year-old resident of Khurda had died of the influenza at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, on Sunday.
