Drake to host 2014 ESPY award

Rapper Drake is all set to host this year's ESPY Awards.

The 27-year-old 'Best I Ever Had' hitmaker said on Twitter that he was "honoured" to host the event that will take place on July 16 in LA, reported Ace Showbiz.

"This is an incredible opportunity for me to combine two of my biggest passions - sports and performing," Drake said in a statement released.

Connor Schell, the Vice President at ESPN who oversees the ESPYs, said,"Drake is an unbelievably talented entertainer who truly has a passion for sports. We are thrilled to have him to host this year's show."
 

Drake played hockey when he was younger and became the global ambassador for his hometown NBA team.
