Police has arrested an alleged drug peddler following recovery of charas from his possession in north Kashmir Baramulla district.
"During naka checking, last evening, Police recovered about 700 grams of charas from a person near Zangam Baramulla," a police spokesman said today.
He said action on a specific information, police established a naka on National Highway near Zangam.
"During the checking the police party intercepted a person, Abdul Rehman Bhat, and recovered 700 grams of Charas from his possession," the spokesman said.
He said a case under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in this regard.
