Drug peddler arrested with intoxicants in J-K

Police today arrested an alleged drug peddler here and recovered large quantity of intoxicants from his possession.

In a surprise check at Top Paloura, police intercepted one pedestrian, identified as Kuldeep Singh, a police officer said.

On searching, police recovered 144 intoxicant capsules and five grams heroine from his possession, the officer said.

The accused has been arrested and a case under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against him, the officer said.
