EC serves notice on TN Minister

Notices have been served on AIADMK district secretary and Industries Minister P. Thangamani and publisher of a Tamil daily on charges of publishing paid news in the daily.

Collector and Returning Officer for the Namakkal Lok Sabha constituency V Dakshinamurthy today said the daily had recently published news items highlighting achievements of the party and the minister in its Namakkal edition.

They have been asked to give their reply in 48 hours, the Collector said.
