Amid elaborate security arrangements, Eid-ul-Zuha prayers were today offered at mosques in the city which had witnessed tension following a clash between members of two communities.
"The prayers were held peacefully with the administration and police making elaborate arrangements, especially in view of the tension over immersion of Durga idols," District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Upadhaya said.
He said there has been no report of any fresh untoward incident from anywhere and life was returning to normal.
