Eight booked for murder of UP revenue inspector

Two days after the incident, police have booked eight people in connection with the murder of a revenue inspector in the district.

Senior superintendent of police K B Singh told newsmen here today that police have registered a case of murder against eight people, identified as Kawerpal, Shyampal, Shivkumar, Ompal, Sudesh, Naresh, Binder and Yashpal .

All the accused are absconding and police have were on a lookout for them, the SSP said.

Revenue inspector Pramod Kumar Sharma was shot dead when he was returning to home on his motorcycle near Mojpur village under Sikheda police station here on Wednesday.
 

Meanwhile, entire staff of the four tehsils -- Sader, Jansath, Budhana and Khatoli -- were on strike in protest against the killing pf the government official.
